Recently, Save Mart was invited and has agreed to participate in grocery industry discussions to set standards for wages, benefits and working conditions.
This employer has already demonstrated that it bargains in good faith with the employees and the organizations that represent them.
Save Mart has participated in preliminary discussions to improve standards in the grocery industry.
Updates:
- 8/8/12 - Members of UFCW 8 Vote to Ratify Contract With Save Mart and Lucky; Locals 5 and 648 Reject Agreement. The unions have informed the employer of the results of the members’ vote and are seeking further discussions regarding the outcome. The terms of the contract will not be implemented until such time as a majority of the voting members of the bargaining unit (consisting of all three locals) vote to ratify the agreement.
