Save Mart/Lucky Negotiations Update for Sept. 23, 2014
Negotiations resumed with Save Mart last week, and modest progress was made. More talks are scheduled later this week.
Save Mart’s offer continues to fall short of what your Union can recommend to the membership for approval. We will continue meeting with management, working to resolve the many complex issues as long as we continue to make progress. Among our objectives is finding a way to restore previously reduced employees.
The company has committed to allocating resources for renovating its stores and has agreed to put such commitments in its Union contracts. The Unions are encouraged by these commitments and we are determined to continue bargaining to reach an agreement that addresses the needs of the members.
Keep wearing your "Solidarity Works" button and stay informed by contacting your District Union Representative if you have questions.
Together, we will prove, once again ... Solidarity Works!
