We are pleased to announce UFCW 8-Golden State has resolved the health and welfare provisions for our members working at Save Mart.

We have achieved all of our health and welfare improvement goals with Save Mart and the benefits now match those agreed to in the tentative agreement between UFCW 8-Golden State and Safeway / Vons.

Successfully achieving these health and welfare provisions with Save Mart assures the continued integrity of the members’ health care plan.

Negotiations with Save Mart and UFCW 8-Golden State are ongoing through the weekend with a focus on resolving several issues including improved retirement benefits, wage increases and other contract language.

In the meantime, we thank you for your resilient support of your Union in word and deed.
