UFCW 8-Golden State reaches tentative agreement with Foods Co. in Northern California

Roseville, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2019) — UFCW 8-Golden State is pleased to announce it has reached a tentative contract agreement with Foods Co. in Northern California. This follows tentative agreements reached earlier in the summer with supermarket chains in Northern, Central and Southern California.

Members will have the opportunity to review and vote on the tentative agreement as soon as contract ratification materials are ready.

“With these contracts, we have successfully negotiated substantial wage increases for our members, and the Foods Co. tentative agreement is no exception,” said Jacques Loveall, president of UFCW 8-Golden State. “Foods Co. has committed to maintaining and improving health care and pension benefits and agreed to numerous additional contract protections.”

“We believe this contract is one of the finest we’ve negotiated for our members working at Foods Co.,” President Loveall continued.

Details of the agreements will not be revealed publicly until the Union’s members have had an opportunity to review their terms and vote on ratification.

Together, with the strength and commitment of our members, we have proven once again, Solidarity Works!
